At 28.12.2001 the yearly "Volta da Funchal", a running contest takes place.
Our fitnessclub was very successfull!
Team results:
Women - 7th place out of 17
Men - 19th place out of 57 
Our hotel guest Barbara Rangetiner got 8th place (Women) 

We say in portuguese: parabens!!!!

Our Golf Pro, Duarte Freitas participated in this years Madeira Golf Open tournament.  In this tour that makes part of the European Tour, only the best european golf players are at the starting line. Under difficult conditions (wind), Duarte made an excellent play and just barely missed the Cut.

Tai Chi

After last year’s success, the Tai Chi  seminar on Madeira will  take place again this year with the former Chinese champion  

Qiuping Lin.

Qiuping Lin was world champion three times and eight times Chinese national champion in Tai Chi Quan. She has taught Tai Chi for many years in Asia, the USA and Europe, and was involved in the production of the official Chinese teaching video of the Peking 24 Standard Form, becoming a model for Tai Chi practioners worldwide.
